Karlštejn, coby královská pevnost v blízkosti Prahy, byl husitům trnem v oku. Ani po použití palných a “biologických zbraní” se jim nepodařilo hrad dobýt a husité nakonec odešli s nepořízenou. V listopadu pak bylo uzavřeno roční příměří, které se neobešlo bez podmínek pro obě strany. Obránci Karlštejna měli zakázáno hrad opravovat, měnit velikost posádky ani vojensky pomáhat králi Zikmundovi v případě tažení do Čech. Husité na oplátku nesměli měnit svou polohu v okolí Karlštejna.

Even after using firearms and "biological weapons", the Hussites failed to capture the castle and were eventually left with nothing. A one-year truce was finalised in November, with special terms and conditions on both sides. The defenders of Karlštejn were forbidden to repair the castle, change the size of the fort, or assist King Sigismund in the event of a military invasion into Bohemia. In return, the Hussites were not allowed to change their location around Karlštejn.
