Our app recognizes exactly where you're standing in the exhibition and overlays a 3D reconstruction, archival footage, or an animated scene directly onto the space around you — through your camera. No headset, no glasses. Just the phone you already have in your hand.

What exactly will you see?

Throughout your visit, you're guided by the Spirit of the House, voiced by Bohdan Tůma (czech famous actor). Scan the Astronomical Clock and see exactly how it looked on any day and hour you choose. Step into a medieval celebration as if you'd walked into it centuries ago, and wander among reconstructed period photographs that pull you straight into that moment in history.

Compare how today's Prague looked during the great flood or other pivotal moments — same place, different time.

And for a moment, become part of the artwork yourself — see what you'd look like as Vertumnus, Giuseppe Arcimboldo's famous portrait of Emperor Rudolf II, composed entirely of fruit and vegetables.

What will you need?

Just your own phone with the Story of Prague app installed, connected to the museum's wifi. These moments unlock using codes placed at selected exhibits. You'll also want headphones — if you don't have your own, don't worry, you can borrow a pair at reception.
